I don't use NOD32, but if I diddle the local distributor out of his profit
and buy it online from the USA to avoid paying the 17.5% VAT, would it be
reasonable of me to expect NOD32 UK to provide free support?
NOD32 Australia behaved foolishly IMO. You bought the program for your
friend in another country and you diddled them out of their profit. Telling
her to "fuck off" would have been a bit extreme, but they should have given
her the choice of paying for support or going back to where you bought it if
she wanted help for free. If getting that help cost her 50 quid in overseas
phone calls you might have both learned something from it.
