I completely agree with everything you said.

I went through exactly the same shite with Kaspersky so I
switched to NOD32. Now I'm getting the same shite with
NOD32.

I switched back to NOD32 v3 after a disastrous few days
with Smart Security Suite, which was a bloody nightmare
to uninstall.

All the AVs are going backwards, filled  with bloat and
bullshit.

If you want to skip items rather than scanning them, go to the main
"full scan" page.  You'll see a list of items that it scans, with
green ticks against them. At the bottom you'll see "add new item".
Clicking on that allows you to add files/folders to the list.  To
prevent scanning DON'T put a tick in the box.

It might not be the ONLY way, but it's the only one I know!  I can't
remember far enough back to recall what v5 was like.

Are you wanting to to skip various types of files or just
certain folders?

Ah, in settings, go to Options --> Threats and Exclusions
and set up what folders you want excluded. Its pretty
straight forward from there.

Thanks.  That's a much neater way of doing it.

If you just want AV protection just download Kaspersky Anti-Virus
instead of Kaspersky Internet Security.

Try Nod32 Version 4 - seems the same to me as version 3.  I'm sure
theres a few extra's added - nothing I can pin point though.  Newer
engine and so catches more - I guess!
