You're barking up the wrong tree. He's not a programmer or coder...

(x86 machine code)

Back in 1985/87 time-frame, I was "cracking" PC games that came on
boot-floppies.

Doing what my buddies were doing at the time with their Atari 800's ->
tracing through the boot code and copying the loaded game image from
memory to .exe files that could be launched from DOS, easily copied and
passed around, etc.

A couple years before that, I was writing text-to-speech code for the
Votrax chip for an ISA-bus card that I built as a high-school
science-fair project.

So I was I. I started with the coco3 copy protection disc trick on the
island quest game. [g]

My first PC crack was simcity followed up by test drive 3.

Hmm. Must be some phrasing differences here or something... I don't
doubt what you're saying tho.

Got you slightly beat. [g]

I was writing code for an atmel (don't laugh, this was one of the
first!) to talk to a little pc speaker via 9volt battery.

Interesting experience. Glad you remain modest - unlike Dustin who inevitably
wants to talk about how good he is!  :)

Or how good Dustin *was*--as in 'the older I get, the better I was".  LOL that
fool Dustbin ain't programmed since the days of mainframes with punch cards,
which he remembers with nostalgia.

LOL. The older I get, the smarter I get. I'm always learning new things
Ray. Case in point, I learned how and wrote! my first virus in 1996.
You're still trying to figure out how a prepender works!

In 1996, I learned and then APPLIED the knowledge to create a working
virus known as weed :)

Fact is Ray, I was a better coder than you are now back then. :)

I was very high when I wrote it, yes. [g]

I thought the name was fitting when it completed execution loop and was
succesful! and when the infected file also did the same thing and later
executed as if all was good; it was even better. My first test subject
was f-prot.exe :) It has a sanity check to ensure it hasn't been
tampered with. ALL of my viruses fooled it. [g]

Did Dustin start on punched cards?

How can an oldster like that keep up with the bright new things who cut their
teeth on modern technology and kept on learning? Just saying!  :)

you're still talking shit. You only know a little more about me now than
you did yesterday; and I'm sorry, but hack for hack, I put Julian to
shame.

You'll just keep looking until you find someone else (LOL!, not you, not
in a cold day in hell) comparable to me. I wouldn't say better or worse,
but comparable. I know the same shit they do, honey. [g]

Yea, you did that with Julian too. Nice hacking career; 31 charges...
LOL

So you respect losers who get caught, and drug runners who give cocaine
to people. What sort of person are you?
