First I want you to understand theat the multi AV Scanning Tool is NOT DOS.
It is a full Win32 command consle utility.

There are two ways to start the Multi AV Scanning tool.  a LNK file and a BAT
file.
C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT
and
C:\AV-CLS\Start Menu.LNK

If you started the utility using the BAT file, choose the LNK, shortcut, file.

Hmm...
I think you may see my error. I used both approaches and that is how it
appeared to me, in a dos window and only for a short moment. Then it kicked

If Windows Mangement Instrumentation (WMI) is too corrupted, I see this
bahaviour.

However you indicated "I used WinZip."

Multi_AV.exe is a Self Extracting ZIP file.  There is no neeed to use WinZIP.

To use this utility, perform the following...
Execute; Multi_AV.exe { Note: You must use the default folder C:\AV-CLS }
Choose; Unzip
Choose; Close

Re: ping-lipman

I am sorry, I crossed my wires on another project using Aptiva tools.
I did use the self extractor on this project. I read the pdf and I am trying
to follow it. It seems straight forward. Why WMI corruption? I do have
McAfee up and running and I have had AntiVir PE [classic] and AVG. Avira was
causing a problem in the kernal32dll. It is Temporarily not loaded in start
menu.

OK.  IF you are using  c:\AV-CLS

Then there is a major problem with the PC and thus KiXtArt code is NOT running
correctly.
Sorry !  :-(

What about this register:  Remove_auto_start.reg

Does this need to be merged before start?

Hi max,
I am really enjoying your website. And trying to follow it even though I am
