Who is our? Are you trying to tell us you're connected with
securityxploded? I'm familiar with the apps listed on the site. Plenty of
good information can be found there.

I think BB was quoting a section of text from that web site and did so
improperly.

From what I saw on that site, there were way too many password extraction
tools.  That's NOT malware analysis and training related and to me is a Red
Flag.

Hey now.. Password extraction tools should be in everyones toolkit. They
can come in handy. To me, there no different than format.com. If used
improperly, possible harm results. When used as intended, you aren't
locked out.

I wrote one for cuteftp to crack the usernames/passwords... so.. I guess
I'm biased on that aspect.

Not to mention the recent forum posts advertising stolen credit card &
banking data for sale.

It's an open policy style site. They aren't all white hats. The
information from a technical aspect is still useful. The utilities offered
on the site are useful as freeware alternatives to passware utilities
(although, the passware kits can deal with quickbooks, quicken, etc).

I didn't offer this site for discussion guys in fairness. :) I just don't
necessarily agree it's a red flag. It's a hacking forum, so I'd expect cc
info and other aspects of hpavc to be present.

As I suspected, those posts were spam and have now been removed so,
good for them!

Yes, the page quoted is a useful list for people new to RE.

I had a quick look. At around 2 - 3 MB in average size I consider them
bloatware when compared to those offered by Nirsoft, for example.

See? Not such a bad site. They really do have good intentions. Yes, I know
the road to hell is paved in gold with them...

Especially the mini guides on win32 assembler. They did a pretty good job.

Agreed on the bloatware. Seems tho, you and I could be anal when it comes
to unnecessary code present in an exe. I know you prefer it as tight and
efficient as possible.

Does following David H. Lipman, Bear and Dustbin around and posting to their
tripe make you feel like a big boy, piss-Ant?

You are a pathetic little creature. ;)

That's a good aggregation of links in one place.  I doubt Bear had
a damn thing to do with it though.

The stuff on Windows PE is interesting.
