I just upgraded from the 2006 version of NIS to the 2008 version.

The 2006 version included a popup and banner ad blocker as standard that
the 2008 version doesn't have.

There is a addon pack for the 2008 ver which mainly seems to address
parental control(sorry about the long url):

9?OpenDocument&seg=hho&src=_mi&product=NIS&version=15.0
&language=english&module=5012&error=110&build=Retail

I notice the addon pack for the 2007 version specifically mentions banner
ad and popups:

Since I upgraded to the 2008 version last week(I had it for months b/f
installing it) I hate all the ads. I didn't realize how many ads it
excluded.

I know I can install the addon pack and then find out but I don't know
the addon is uninstallable if it doesn't block them. I don't need or want
the parental control features.

Also can I install the 2007 addon to the 2008 version of NIS?

Also I see a few posts about the improvement in the 2009 version which
came out a few weeks after I got my 2008 version. Does that include an ad
blocker?

Lastly where did everyone go? There used to be lots of posts in here?

Why not uninstall using Norton's proprietary tool, get a refund and utilize
Avira's Anti-Vir and the build-in firewall.
