Is there a method to only scan a folder or file other than right
clicking on the desktop?

You can give it a try. I have never used it.

Are you serious or am I missing something here?

If you are, try the On-Demand Scanner and bring up the "Scanning
targets" selection. You can add and remove disk drives to scan (or
scan & clean) or add and remove folders or single files to your
heart's content.

Ok, great. Sorry, didn't mean to sound too sarcastic. I just found it
a bit too... Well, basic. Again, no offence meant. Hence the question.
Maybe I'm thinking that everyone finds the Nod32 as easy to use as I
do... After using the program for many years. Sorry.

You have a nice day as well :0)

I think the problem is that new users open Control Center and click on
"Local" rather than "Run NOD32".  TBH those four buttons could do with
a rethink.

You may have a point there, Ed.
