I'm using NOD32 and running a separate anti-spyware program. Is it necessary
to run the anti-spyware program? Thanks.

Re: NOD32: Is a Separate Anti-Spyware Prog Necessary?

Yes. NOD32 is an Anti Virus program although it does catch some baddies,
but you still need to run an anti-spyware/malware program, not every
program can catch everything so it is good idea to run both AV Software
and Anti Spyware Software.

"ESET NOD32 was designed from the core as a single, highly-optimized engine
that works as a unified Anti-Threat system to protect against a broad
spectrum of malware. Viruses, worms, spyware, and other malicious attacks,
which are constantly evolving."

Since reselling NOD32 to customers and family, I do not have to install
other anti-spyware software as NOD32 protects against this as well, which I
am reminded frequently by alerts from those protected.

In the last few months it's stopped MyWebSearch, FunWeb, Cursor Mania, 180
Solutions, WinAntiVirus, Comet Cursor/Starware as well as many trojans,
viruses, worms, browser/JavaScript exploits etc. (and this is just a quick
look through my logs).
