NAV terminating before completion

I have asked this question in but
have yet to receive a response so I thought I may get an answer here.

I have NAV 2004 set up to run a full scan each morning at 8AM.   This has been
running happily since 2004 until a few days ago.

Normally the log shows:-
Scan start              8:00:01
Scan completed   8:27:29

Now it shows:-
Scan start               8:00:01
Scan cancelled      8:30:10

This cancel time is consistent over the last 3 days.   It seems that there may
be a 30 minute time limit on doing a scan?

Individual scans of C: and D: drives all run to completion.

Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing the scan cancellation?
