Sorry, I have a tendency to point out the obviously stupid.

If somebody is frustrated by a product, i don't think its stupidity to
let other know about it.
Atleast you won't spend $ to purchase a crap product.

I just put McAfee Internet Security 2009 on my new computer with Vista HP, 3
ram, 500 gb harddrive.  I got the boxed version.  It was hard to install for
the following reasons:
I installed from the disk instead of downloading.  It took almost forever to
download the necessary updates.  The VirusScan update alone seemed to take
about 2+ hrs. and, when it appears to be completed, it started downloading
again.  This particular download (the VirusScan part) kept on repeating.
after about 10 hrs. I got a message saying the download was complete.  All
this time, I thought something was screwed up since the info under "Product
Information" indicated that the last download was in 1999 for VirusScan.
After I got a message saying it was up to date, the dates in Product
Information were correct.

Another problem was that the box and very skimpy instructions in the box
indicated there was a Users Guide.  It wasn't clear where this User Guide
was since it wasn't in the box.  In playing the disk I saw a file on it.
The Users Guide was on the Internet.  Just one thing, however.  There is no
User Guide for the 2009 Version, yet.  You must use HELP.  I sent an email
to McAfee about this and they said I was right, there is no User Guide for
the 2009 version.  They told me that it will be out soon and it won't be
much different than the 2008 version, just a few changes.  Isn't that nice?

The bottom line is that the suite seems to be working now, although the
installation was a headache and they seemed to put the cart before the horse
on the User Guide.  This is the second day it is supposedly working.  I
haven't caught anything yet - not even spyware.  It also is not the easiest
system to use, but also not the hardest to understand.  I got it on sale and
will keep it for awhile.  A 60 day trial version of Norton Internet Security
came with the computer and it was working OK, but it started bugging me so
much to subscribe for a year when I still had 30 days to go that I decided
to dump it.  Hope I didn't make a mistake.
