Mcafee and MFC71.DLL

Hi all,
I Use Windows 7 and the lastest version of McAfee Antivirus.
Everytime I open my IM software, McAfee detects inside its folder the file
MFC71.DLL as a trojan (Artemis) and puts in quarantine. So the software
doesn't work.
Everytime I have to restore the quarantined DLL and turn off McAfee.

I just ask if there's a way to stop McAfee from deleting MFC71.DLL, because
it's not a trojan...I analyzed it with other scanners. It's part of a very
common Im software in my country.

Thanks

There should be an area to put in it an exception list within the McAfee
software.  This
way the file will be ignored.

Otherwise you have to submit the file to McAfee as a False Positive.

If you can't/won't do either, get rid of McAfee and replace it with something
lelse like
Avira AntiVir or MSE.

Out of curiosity and since you are in Italy , when was the last time that you
updated the definition files. McAfee is usually quite quick to correct false
positive files with their updates.

I update daily and  I've recently submitted it as a False Positive. I
haven't received any responses till now, but probably it's necessary some
more time .

MFC71.DLL goes to quarantine everytime McAfee detects it and there isn't a
command to move from quarantine to exception list.
I can either restore it ( but it's detected and deleted again), or send to
McAfee.

I 'm waiting for a feedback from McAfee, (do they usually answer?),
otherwise I will get rid of their software:).

Thanks a lot to all for suggestions.

Then resend.  With False Positive in the subject, exclamation in the body with
the DLL in
a password protected ZIP file with the password being, infected
