A quick question - I was wondering if there is any problem with running a
Malwarebytes v1.75 scan in the background while still using the computer for
other activities?

You can do it but both will impact each other.  The scan will impact
accessing the foreground application and the foreground application will
cause the background scan to take longer.  Then if you scan an Archive or
SFX file then there will be a bigger impact.

It is best to just let MBAM perform its On Demand scan and then use the PC
upon completion.

I will also give you this...

If you have a fully installed Anti Virus application performing On Access
scanning while MBAM does its On Demand scan there will be advantages and
disadvantages.  The advantage is that not one but two anti malware engines
will be scanning each file.  MBAM when it loads the file to be scanned and
the AV application On Access scanner when the file handle is opened for
read.  The disadvantage is the scan will take longer.

At some point you may state that you have reached a Baseline because the AV
application On Access scanner is always scanning.  Therefore if if you only
use the free On Demand MBAM then you may choose to temporarily disable the
AV application On Access scanner while you you scan with MBAM (of course
after you update the signatures) and the scan will be a bit shorter.

No problem.

I have my Mbam Pro 1.75 scheduled to do a full scan twice per week.
I have chosen a time I am usually not busy on my PC.

Of course the more you do, the longer MBAM will take.
