Specialization does seem to work better than some all-in-one solution
that's more likely to be toting a lot of bloat.

If your machine was infected by a virus, why would you expect a
program designed to detect spyware to be of any use? That's just
stupid.

After two viruses maybe it's time you thought about another anti-virus

I believe that I may be partly at fault here :(.
Firstly, I had left my lad with admin rights for some reason.
Secondly, there was an engine update issue recently that I had struggled to
resolve.

Both these points have now been addressed.
Unfortunately, upgrading the McAfee appears to have introduced an issue with
the lad's iTunes software which now needs sorting :(.
