can any one advise on the quality of the Firewall in this program.

Like would it be equally as good as Zone Alarm?

I have the Kaspersky AntiVirus program v6 with Zone Alarm as the firewall
but was interested in the Suite as then it would be just one package.

thank you
ken

Please don't Multi-Post.

Please learn to Cross-Post to pertinent, on Topic, News Groups instead.

I'm curious.  Where are his multi-posts?

I can't work out whether you're a joker or a dimwit, hopefully the
former. I think you have kenny confused too.

OK Jim,

I am not joking.  I received no multiposts using  Agent 1.93, only his
crosspost in alt.comp.virus.

I used the term "I feel cheated"  to infer the problem may be at your
end.

Thank you for considering me to be a dimwit.

Gary

There was no crosspost in alt.comp.virus. That's what Dave was
complaining about. Had it been a crosspost it would have the same
message ID in both groups and all replies would also go into both
groups for everyone to see.

Because kenny made two separate posts (one in each newsgroup), that's
multi-posting by the way, it means the messages aren't linked and so
no-one in acv will see replies from aca-v and vice versa, even though
the subject matter is identical.

You saw two similar posts using Agent. Had it been a crosspost, your
newsreader would automatically mark the second one as "already read"
if you subscribed to both newsgroups so saving you the trouble of
re-reading something you just read a few minutes earlier.

Jim.

Those are his multiposts.

My newsreader is set to strip articles that are crossposted to
multiple groups so I should see only 1 message in the first group
listed.  I see both of his posts because he didn't cross post.

FWLT (gkweb) thinks that KAH is better.

Those who contend that PFWs are snake oil would tell you to use the
WinXP SP2 FW and forget the rest.

Check out the difference in price between KAV and KIS when you renew
(30% discount). You may find that you can get the Suite (KIS) for only
a few bucks more. Even if you don't use KAH right now, it might make
sense when you renew down the road.

Ron :)
