It's official: there's no such thing as 'malware' in the dictionary

From the Carnegie Mellon CERT institute, so you know this is official.

Strangely, they do however have terms that use "malware" but no dictionary
definition for the same.  "Malcode" is defined as a synonym of "malware".  In
addition, there is a definition for "virus".

1. A self-replicating malicious program that requires human interaction to
replicate.
2. A self-replicating program that runs and spreads by modifying other programs
or files.  

malcode
Short for malicious code, also known as malware.
mallab
A common moniker for an air-gapped laboratory for the analysis of malware.
malware analysis attack vector
Any of the techniques malware analysts use to defeat malware: static analysis,
dynamic analysis,
static patching, dynamic patching, and dumping.19
