it is NOT a virus... no where near being close to a virus... it is a defect in
the code... nothing more...

*giggle*. I suspect if you read everything I wrote, you'd see why human is
best for this and "automating" it is a pain. If you automate, you must be
specific in what you're looking for. (something to be ID'd). Human eyes,
can see things your automated task missed. [g]

Wonder why Dustin wants to use a human search. I'm told SSL security
certificates have delimiters. My techs says an automated search is ideal
for finding that sort of thing!

Jax,

without asking a tech,

Do you know what the 'delimiter' strings you are searching for actually
look like?

Question applies for anything else you'd want to checkout on those dumps.
In order to automate it, You have to have prior knowledge of what you're
looking for. Ask your techs if you don't believe me. The automated program
requires a string target of some kind. YOU have to be able to provide that.

Umm, no. If you're looking for the servers key, it has a header that
indicates the beginning and ending. That can be searched for. If you're
looking for something else, you need to have samples dumps, to study. You
don't need the source code from the server, but you'll probably get pieces
of that too.

I'm toodling off now, you really do make mopping the floor with you easy
when you present such claims.

Script kiddie.

you are definitely not a security researcher if you are not blind at the end of
the day from analysing gigs of pcaps a day... yes, there are folks that do
perform such miracles... some of them wear hats of white, grey or black ;)
