This topic may belong elsewhere but if something undesirable gets past my f=
iltering system in FireFox 4.0 it may very well fit right here.

The issue is email addresses like this: ysnaykg@idoz213ovoltage.com. A floo=
d of emails of this structure recently began appearing in one of my account=
s and I'm unable to filter any of them out successfully because no two appe=
ar to be the same... yet they all have a common thread; three numbers somew=
here after the @ sign.

Has anyone else had this experience and, if so, have you found a successful=
 way to filter them?

Have a look at Mailwasher. That has configurable filters - which you can
program using their 'Regular Expression' feature, which enables you to
look for (say) any numeric character.

See http://www.mailwasher.net/frequently-asked-questions
[Scroll down to Filters and click on the item about RegExpr]

This looks good gentleman. I'll read about it more thoroughly in the AM. Thanks.

I use Mailwasher on my Vista machine. On my Windows 7 machine, I use
nothing. On my Droid that is connected to my ISP for email as well, I
have nothing to filter. I stared getting return emails that were choking
out my inbox on all the devices. I send out emails to possible
consulting jobs responding to the firms.

I think someone's machine was compromised on email and it was and maybe
it still is sending out the bad emails. Anyway,  the ISP killed my
account, and I had to get a new account. That stopped the emails being
returned to my account and to email inboxes on my devices. I was getting
a returned email every 10 seconds.  :)
