In a corporate environment the Enterprise version of McAfee such as v7.1 or
v8.0i are
excellent products.

It is their retail products that fall way short of this quality level.  The
difference
between the reatail and corporate products is like night and day.  Almost like
they were two
disfferent products from different vendors but using the same Engine and
Signature files.

This person has indicated a a question concerning ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) to
be used in
conjunction with Enterprise v8.0i.

Your stupid reply in NOT appreciated.  Your Trolling this group becuase of
dustin's
stupidity is unappreciated.  Please stick to subject matter you specifically
have knowledge
on as you don't have what it takes to deal with this topic.

The Enterprise version is still a resource hog.

I do, every bit as much as you. Actually, probably more. You know nothing of
my qualifications.

You're correct. In my company the client stations had it disabled so they
could get some work done. I'd hardly call that an 'excellent product' --
'useless' springs to mind. (Makes you wonder if ol' Lipshits has actually
run it.)

I'm using it (v7.1E) right now on this PC.
I reiterate w/o hesitation, an excellent product.

Works fine for us with our 15000+ machines.

However, they just stiffed us on the home use clause in the
latest renewal - the home users have to go to the retail
version. Or I could give them Sophos...

If they want me to do support, it needs to be something I've
played with enough, so our licensed stuff wins. The guys who
look after the student halls give out AVG, I think.
Must read the licence agreement closely to see if we can count
halls as on-campus...

Prove it through text and actions.  So far your own words are your own folly.

Now that's funny. They read like the neighborhood busy-body who has
self-appointed herself to correct other's habits.

ePO is the management software for the enterprise.  You would install it on an
existant
server or a dedicated server.  That choice is yours.  It is an option and is
included in
your enterprise license.  You may wish to use ePO to manage the enterprise or
not.
