Do you need a computer virus in a hurry? Yahoo is by far the best place.

Todays count gave me 21739 posts with only one variety of trojan.

Details, not virus itself are at http://justblurbs.com/

Try this search link. You may have to stitch it if your email client breaks it
apart.

Do you always post your replies after the signature delimiter line
("-- ", also called the sigdash line)?  If so, be aware that many NNTP
clients can strip off the fluff signatures which means your content
will not be seen.

OOOps. Thanks.

On the subject. Is it common to find on Yahoo thousands of infected posts?

No.

You also posted 0 facts, no corroboration, no logs, etc.
Basically, you failed to substantiate any claims and then you Multi-Posted this
all over the
place.

The only information you provided, and that was in the Blurb URL, was the web
site.  Most
DNS servers don't resolve this site.  The most that can be gleemed is this .info
site was it
registered by DomainsByProxy.com which is not a good sign.

Fail to substantiate????

Just a couple of posts back I posted a link. I will repeat it again.

Email client ?  No,
News client, Yes.

The search link provides nothing more then links to the same host you posted
about in the
Blurb page.

Still unsubstantiated.  All I see are links to the site.  You have posted no
logs, no names
of malware, no infection vectors, no exploitation methodologies, etc.

On Yahoo's site itself?
In the *private* Yahoo Groups?  No.
In the Geocities web pages hosted by Yahoo?  Well, even you can figure
out that there are malcontents out there and they don't want to pay
for their vicious web site.  Can they get infected?  Sure but probably
by the owner of the personal web page.
Is Yahoo sensitive to vicious content on the Geocities web sites used
for personal web pages?  No.  Hell, it takes months before Yahoo gets
rid of the private Yahoo Groups that were used by a community of
pedophiles, and they only took action later when they got threatened
by the FBI and federal courts (in that they were close to being
charged as a co-conspirator).

OK. 1st of all I got a warning from Kaspersky (this is my AV and FW program)
when I just clicked on the link, not when I went to the site.
Now try yourself:
1. Go to http://messages.yahoo.com /
2. In the search window choose "All Yahoo. Message boards"
3. Insert "www.STOCKMARKETVIDEO-123.INFO" into the search window without quotes
of course.
4. Please, let us know what you see.

This time I got 2230 total results. It's not 20,000 this time, but still nothing
to sneeze at.

Okay, I did the search.  What now?  I get a page of results.  How is
clicking on a link not have you go to wherever that link points?  If
you clicked on a link to the web site then you are asking to retrieve
content from there.  That Kaspersky aborts the content transfer
because it detected what it thought was a pest is still having you go
to the web site.  You still went to the web site to retrieve its
content and Kaspersky then detected a pest (but you never did divulge
WHAT warning was issued by Kaspersky).  I don't use Kaspersky.

The search results contain titles for links (which is text) and a
short text-only description, hardly any place for a pest to reside.
Obviously Yahoo is not responsible for the content of any domain that
it does not own, like those for all those linked web sites in the
search results.

By the way, reconfigure your Thunderbird to wrap lines (physically
truncate them and start a newline) at 72, or less, characters in
length for newsgroup posts.  Your line lengths are way too long
(around 138 characters long, or maybe longer).

I have to agree with you on that. Just to me it looked the same instant
when I clicked on a link. All of a sudden a siren started screaming and
a message popped up about "trojan". And it had nothing to do with
drugstore stuff. :)

With this part I disagree. It's been going for monthS. Yahoo has
received multiple complains. They could've setup servers to immediately
weed out any link to the malicious site.
