BitDefender on demand only

How do I setup BitDefender as an on demand only scanner.  I don't have it
configured for startup with system start. When I close it, the bdss.exe
[24mb] is still resident as a process.

I thought the free version [8.0] did not include resident protection.

Free BitDefender 8 does not provide "On Access" scanning.  It does load files
into the OS to
make removal of malware easier as well as perform scheduled downloads or "On
Demand" scans.

Re: BitDefender on demand only

tried that, [I use Regcleaner 4.3], If you offload the mail resident file,
then you can't run on demand with BitDefender.  I uninstalled it. I think
its better, but it didn't find anything AVG didn't find.
