Banner ad blocking

I recently changed AV programs from Kaspersky to Norton/Symantec.

The Norton/Symantec AV doesn't have banner ad blocking, and I'm hoping that
Win XP might have some settings somewhere that minimize these annoying
banner ad programs (they do for pop-ups).

Anybody know of anything?

Thanks

Re: Banner ad blocking

Not only does Windows XP not have anything to block banner ad programs, they
don't have anything to block pop-ups.

And on September 17th you told me...
"Well, once you've learned how to properly use a computer and your Windows
Live login, you might be able to get some help. In the meantime, work on
your interpersonal skills, HoopleHead."

And then someone came along and explained....
"It's a stupid word from Deadwood made up because the writers could not
think of enough foul language to pad the whole awful thing out with."

It's not too hard to figure out who the "asshole" is.... :-)

You crossposting "Hooplehead".

The poster asked a question and instead of correcting him and
answering it or just not replying you acted like a typical asshole.

So you were called what you acted like and now you're crying.

And chose to reply like this:

I leave you to deduce who's the actual asshole here.

Nice mouth!!  It doesn't exactly make anyone want to help you out........and
AFAIN, IE7 certainly does block pop-ups........but I primarily use Firefox
and it DEFINITELY does block them via the use of "AdBlock"........which is a
small program you add to the browser.

Now.......don't be rude or I shall be forced to get the bar of Sunlight Soap
out and shove it down your throat!!  (G)

OK, I'll politely tell you to lose 40 pounds and maybe you'll be able to
attract a new girlfriend, if you use the soap to decrease the smell.

If you shave your legs and your upper lip, maybe you could even get a guy,
who knows.

Look above. The first 2 lines were in reply to your question - a
perfectly correct and precise answer.
Look now at your reply below that, and then go figure why any one should
want to help you in future.

JohnD66 the hooplehead

No you did not. It was a correct and precise answer. If you are looking for
someone
to give you an answer while wiping your ass and kissing at the same time , then
you
are in the wrong place
