Hello

I've been experiancing problems with my p2p software since installing avast,
despite it being in the exceptions folder. At the moment I'm having to turn
it off all together while downloading which of course is when I need it
most.
Is there a way to solve this or would I be better looking at another
antivirus?

Thanks.

Re: Avast p2p compatibility

What P2P software? Avast works fine with mine. I use Limewire.

It's just called 'MP3Downloads'. It's part of the gnutella network. I did
use limewire but so many of the files were fake it was becoming ridiculous.

The on-access scan (which should be on) should work just as well when your
P2P client saves files to your hard drive.   I know that you tell it which
P2P clients you want it to work for.  Perhaps the one you are using isn't on
its list?
