When I scan the computer using Malwarebytes' the globe of Avast is
continually spinning.  Is this a normal thing, or should I turn-off Avast,
or just Exit it?  Maybe it doesn't matter for it to run?

Hello Ben:

While MBAM is scanning, the "a" globe, in the system tray, /will/ rotate
with some infrequent pauses.  MBAM and Avast play well together.  No
need for any changes there.

Best wishes to you.

Thanks Pete, I didn't think there was any problem.  I just needed a little
assurance.

Added note.

In a situation like this, MBAM is running as an "On Demand" scanner and Avast is
running
as an "On Access" scanner.

Thus you get two scanners checking files with two different engines.

If Avast has already done an "On Demand" scan of the system then Avast "On
Access"
scanning can be disabled during the MBAM scan.  It would only be redundant and
slow down
the MBAM scan process.
