Hi Guys,
I am building a new computer, finally got all the parts, my only concern is
how to install the SATA Drives, I have an Epox 9NDA3J Rev2.0.  The Drives
are WD3200 Caviar SE.  From what I can make out during the OS install I will
need the driver for the drives, All I have with the Mobo is a CD Rom, but it
does not give me the install drivers all it gives me is Driver auto
installation Mobo or selective installation. Reading the Acrobat file it
tells me I need a floppy with the driver on it.  I emailed Epox to their
credit they replied promptly, but did not give me the info I required,
infact I couldn't understand the broken English. Does anyone know where I
can get the SATA drivers to put on disk.  Thanks for any help

I believe the raid driver is on the cd.  If you are not setting up a raid
array then you won't need a driver to install windows.  When you load the
chipset drivers from cd, the ide driver will be a part of it.  You might
want to surf onto the Epox support website for more recent drivers instead
of using the cd.

If you intend to use SATA _RAID_ then you will need the RAID driver on
floppy otherwise no special SATA driver is needed. You make the RAID
driver floppy by selecting that option on the Epox CD but, of course,
you need to do that on a different machine. And it means that the new
machine would need to at least temporarily have a floppy drive installed
but there is no need to mount it in the machine -- just temporarily hook
up the ribbon and power cables since you'll only need it for a few minutes.
