There are so many rumours on the WEB about the new AMD 64 (Venice) so I hope
somebody out there can answer these questins.
I am about to order a new pc and have deceided to wait a couple of weeks and
get the Venice instead of the Winchester.
Has the Venice been tested with 4 Double sided memory modules at 400Mhz, or
are you still limited to 333Mhz with 4*DS modules.
Using 4*512 modules will enable me to buy higher performing modules and not
be confined to 2*1024MB modules at cl3.
Will motherboards require a new BIOS upgrade to recognize the new CPUID or
will I be able to start using the CPU/MB straight out of the box? I am
condidering the MSI Diamond CLI as it has 6*SATA II ports and WLAN/BT
included in the box.
Thanks in advance.
