Hi. This isn't strictly an overclock question, but any help would be
appreciated. I'm running a Venice 3000 CPU with 1GB dual memory. I was
originally using a GeForce FX 5200 card and planned an upgrade. I ran 3D
Mark 03 on this setup which gave me a value of 778. AquaMark 03 gave me
figures of GFX 684 CPU 8495 and an overall score of 6585. I then
installed an ATI Radeon 9600 XT card (256MB RAM) which gave me a 3D Mark
score of 2914 and Aqua mark scores of GFX 2790, CPU 8307 and an overall
score of 23879. This card unfortunately died quickly and in the meantime
I was advised to stick with nVidia cards. I bought a GeForce 6600LE card
and ran the same benchmarks:
3D Mark - 3527
Aqua Mark 03:
GFX - 28985
CPU - 2969
Overall - 19446
My question is, should the CPU score vary in this manner or am I
misunderstanding what these scores are about, and shouldn't the overall
Aqua Mark score for my present card be higher?
Thanks in advance.
