To overclock an ATI 9800 Pro I've been told to just run ATI Tools. Ok I
did that but all I got was a default 378 core that couldn't get past
Do I need to up the voltage on the card first or do I have a cooling
How do I up the voltage? Via the mobo? My ABit IC7-MAX3 allows me to up
the voltage on the APG (currently set to a default 1.55v)
Re: Beginner question about OCing an 9800 Pro R350
How do you know it won't go past 386? Drop the memory speed, crank up the
core and see how fast it will go, then reset the core to default speeds and
do the same with the memory. 9800s get warm, so I would advise an Arctic
cooler or similar to keep it cool. Card voltage is altered by hardware
modding the card, not advisable for a beginner.
Again, this will not increase the voltage the GPU and RAM run at, only the
voltage supplied to the AGP slot.
