- Asus K8N Overclock?

I've been trying to overclock my Asus K8N with Sempron 64 3100+ and
can't get anything past 224MHz (clock generator) that's stable. I've
seen an article where the best overclock with this board is 242MHz (the
cpu used wasn't mentioned). I'd be happy to get somewhere around 235.
I'm using 2 sticks of value 512MB Mushkin PC3200 (2.5-3-3-8-1T) that the
board only sees as DDR333 (doesn't like double-sided DIMMS). Will I get
higher results if I get better memory? Articles on the web say the
Sempron 3100+ is capable of 268MHz stable. Can't figure out why I'm
stuck way back at 224MHz.

Manual not available for DL from asus site so make sure you lower HT to 3x
and that you lower the base ram speed to 133MHz or 166MHz (depending on
how much you want to overclock) , before attemping to raise the system
clock. I'd say 3x Ht, ram 133, and system clock 266Mhz would work well.
May need to raise cpu voltage a little too, but probably not for this mild
