I want to update my Albatron KX18D Pro mobo NVIDIA nForce 2 drivers.
Do I need to uninstall all NVIDIA drivers first in Win XP or will the newer
drivers replace/overlay what is already in my system?
In Add/Remove I see two Nvidia items:
1) NVIDIA Drivers (selecting it offers me to uninstall/remove all nvidia
drivers or only the audio driver).
2) NVIDIA Windows 2000/XP nForce Drivers (removes the display device). I
don't have an NVIDIA display device, only an ATI Radeon 9100.
Re: Applying NVIDIA updated drivers to mobo
The new drivers will update over the top of the old ones. If you have
problems, you can rollback to the old drivers.
I would recommend just running the unified drivers package, which will
install the drivers automatically. You can download the
nForce_5.10_WinXP2K_WHQL_english.exe from www.nvidia.com.
I don't think that it will replace the display driver.
