Re: ABit NF7-S v2: Only USB1.1 works, not USB2.0
| Hi, on my NF7-S v2, latest bios, USB devices don't work at all in
| SP2 unless the bios is set at USB1.1-only. Is this a Windows driver
| A fix would be very appreciated!
Perhaps the enhanced USB controller went missing???
Take a manual System Restore Checkpoint (Start | All Programs | Accessories
| System Tools | System Restore) before you start, in case you need to go
back where we began.
Remove power from your PSU and manually clear the CMOS with the CCMOS1
jumper on pins 2 and 3 for a few moments.
Restore CCMOS1 on pins 1 and 2. Restore power. Fire it up and press DEL at
the POST. Start with Load Optimized Defaults. Then set Integrated
Peripherals | OnChip PCI Device | USB Controller: V1.1+V2.0 and PnP/PCI
Configurations | Allocate IRQ to USB: Enabled. Set up any other
customizations of the BIOS defaults according to your use then Save and Exit
Allow the computer to reboot.
Once back in Windows, Set Folder Options | View to allow Hidden files and
folders and Protected operating system files and folders to be viewed.
Then go into Device Manager and right-click and Uninstall everything in the
USB branch of the hardware tree. When everything's gone, reboot the
The Add Hardware Wizard should redetect everything USB. If the Wizard wants
for a driver, navigate it to Windows\Inf. When done, check to see if the
enhanced USB controller has returned to Device Manager.
