i have written a simple HTML Form page, having "password" box and a CGI
small application in C-CGI at the Server side.
whenever the user clicks on "Submit" button the Address Bar displays the
contents of password box on it, is there any way that i can hide the
contents of Password box (HTTP Get request) using HTML 4.0 ??
am i doing this the right way ??
is this the right way to transmit the password Online ?? wt abt security ??
any suggestions ??
As Cameron said, use the POST method to submit the form instead of GET.
This may require you to do a little rewriting of your CGI application, as
CGI applications read GET requests from the $QUERY_STRING environment
variable, whereas they read POST requests from STDIN.
