Apologies if this has been covered, but I can't find the solution. I have
created my first web page in HTML. I have successfully uploaded the
index.html page through an ftp client. There are 6 images on this page and I
cannot get them to display. I have uploaded them seperately and they show as
being in the same directory as the index page. The instructions in the index
to find these jpegs is to my hard drive and the correct directory. Is this
the mistake? Should the index instruction be to look for them in the servers
directory to which I uploaded them? Or am I completely muddled (well yes I

Your HTML says the graphics are in a subdirectory:

You need to either move the graphics to the subdirectory, or change the
HTML to remove the reference to it.
