IE. I am aware of differences between the browsers but I just can't
seem to get this piece to look the same in both browsers.
In IE you'll see it looks fine, but in FF you'll see a big white space
under the image.
Can anyone tell me what to add to make the FF version look like the IE

Setting vertical-align: middle on the img as rf all but suggested will
also work. But I prefer display: block because the rules for vertical
alignment of inline boxes and how they affect line box height in CSS are
According to those rules, the gap will also disappear unambiguously, but
better just to avoid that whole area if possible.
Blocks are much easier to understand.
