I'm looking for a tool I can recommend to our customers for designing
web pages. I want them to be able to plunk a <div> on a page, move it
around and resize it, style it, and click on it to add content. Ideally,
it would be possible to say that this div is always on the left, that
one is on top, this other one stretches to fill remaining space, etc.
I'd also really like to able to add my own custom, pre-styled divs to
the palette so customers can just put them where they want. Pre-styled
divs might contain a logo, menu, footer, etc.
Are there any off-the-shelf tools that can be adapted for this purpose?
Or any toolboxes I can use to develop our own?
