I have tried just about everything I can find to get this to work and
nothing. I keep getting the same error message.

Restore could not copy the following file(s) to the device. To correct this
error, close any programs on your device that may have these files locked,
and press Retry. You may choose to skip these files;however, they will not
be correctly restored on your device.

There are about ten .dll files it will not restore and the three most
important appointments, contacts, and tasks. The only help the website gives
me is to do a hard reset and try again. I have done this several times. At
this point I would like to just get my contacts back. If this is possible
could someone please let me know how. At least one thing I have found them
in a backup.STG file, I just can,t get them out.

Please help
Thanks
John

The dll's are possibly in use so can't be overwritten. Reinstall the
associated programs to replace them. They may reside in your (EP)ROM and be
part of the OS.

John,
What files are causing the issue?
What device is it?
What version is the device(I am guessing WM 2003)?
Are your contacts in Outlook?
Is the device you backed up to create the STG file the same device you are
attempting to restore the STG file too?
What caused you to have to restore your device?

It is a xv6600 pocket pc.
Unfortunatly the contact are not in outlook.
Yes it is the same kind of device.
The first one had issues with the camera and was replaced by the company. I
thought maybe because it was a different device it would not take however I
tried to restore on the original with the same outcome.
Yes you guessed right it is 2003
Here is a list of all programs:

indicator.exe
EmNPim.dll
VZWRsrc.dll
EmNPimEn.dll
CEiFDEngine.dll
CEiFDPlugin.dll
ClientShell.exe
CEiFDPluginEN.dll
ClientShellEN.dll
RSGChgCaptr
Tasks Database
Contacts Database
Appointments Database

I hope this helps
Thanks robert for your time.
