Here's the answer: no one has the ability to choose for you since there
are far too many laptops to choose from. If you are wanting, first,
local service, then you need to research laptop service in Italy.
To allay your fears, many, if not most, laptops are manufactured in a
small number of Asian factories. Many have the same mainboards and
peripherals with a slightly different case design. HP/Compaq, Dell,
Lenovo have enough business that they might be specifying their own
mainboards and case designs out of these same factories, but I doubt it.
Sony *might* be designing both their mainboards and cases with
manufacturing in the same small number of Asian factories.
So... Research the best post-purchase support in Italy, and move on from
there.
