I've had my xbox 360 linked to my computer for a while now and it's worked
fine. I turned on media center through my 360 one day and it froze at the
loading screen. I checked my media center extender settings on my computer
and it says my xbox is not connected. Can't seem to figure out why. Is there
another post someone can refer me to or help me troubleshoot what is keeping
my xbox from connecting to my computer?
I've Uninstalled MC extender along with .net framework 1.1 etc. Reinstalled,
still can't connect to my xbox even when setting up a new connection.
Extender is not blocked by my firewall and the proper ports have been opened.
Just ran into this similar problem when I installed XP SP3 and had to
manually intall a missing hotfix that was keeping media center extender from
being installed and working properly. It was working fine then this happened.
I've let media center sit at the loading screen on my xbox for about 15 min,
still no luck. Not sure what to do...
