I recently bought a pc from HCL. Windows XP Media Centre Edition (with
licence) came preinstalled on the machine and installation files were
on the hard drive. I got some problem with Windows and formatted the
c: drive. When I was reinstalling the Windows, in a few last steps It
asked for a file 'AuthorScript.dll' which is supposed to be on the
'CD2' of the installation disk. And there isn't a single one. All the
setup files are in i386 folder on d:. When the file was not found,
certain components of Windows XP are not installed (Paint, IE, Games
and some other small but useful things). When I try to uninstall or
install something with 'Add or Remove Windows Component' I again got
same 'AuthorScript.dll' and 'CD2' thing. Does anybody have an answer?
