OS: Windows Vista Ultimate
Device: Qtek 8020 Smartphone with Windows Mobile 2003 US

Windows Mobile Device Centre is unable to see and connect my Qtek 8020
Smartphone with Windows Mobile 2003 OS.

The phone is connected by USB normally, but WMDC did not see a device
connected, so no synchrosation is possible at all.

Under Windows XP and activesync 4.5 there is no problem at all.

Please what could it be?

Kind regards,
MJK Automatisering Plus B.V.

Since you are interfacing with a WM03 device I would check to be sure
that that the Windows Mobile 2003 service is running in the
background. You should be able to spot it if you check to see which
services are currently running on the machine.

Click Start, All Programs, Administrative Tools and click Services to
list your currently running services.

I would also check your firewall settings to be sure that all of the
required ports are opened.
