I am successfully running Windows Mobile Device Center (production not Beta)
on Vista Business Edition and have no trouble connecting and synchronizing
my Windows SmartPhone (Motorola Q) using a USB port but can't get a
Bluetooth connection to work for WMDC. My Bluetooth connection will work for
other functions (like controlling a PowerPoint presentation from the Qs
keyboard) so I know Bluetooth is at least connecting.

Has anyone had success with a bluetooth connection to Windows Mobile Device
Center? I'd like to know if this is possible.

Regards

Dave Wills

Yes, works here but - and this is important - I never got it running with
the Toshiba Bluetooth stack on my Fujistus Lifebook. However, after I
switched back to the native Windows BT stack
(http://arne.blog.theunwired.net/?itemid=3574), I got it working again (even
if it worked before with Windows XP and the Toshiba stack).

Thanks Arne:

Turns out its a problem with the Bluetooth stack on the Motorola Q. I had a
reply to the same message posted on microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync.

Will have to wait until Q2 for a Service Release for WMDC to get a fix :-(.

Interesting... :-( Does it worked over Bluetooth before with Windows XP and
ActiveSync?

The Motorola Q connects using Bluetooth to another PC with ActiveSync so
this is a WMDC problem
