I recently purchased a HP 9000 series laptop which has XP MCE2005 installed
on it. The first thing I did was reinstalled a fresh copy of MCE2005,
applied all patches, and updated to IE7.0. Everything was working fine, but
now when starting up I constantly get the "Files that are required for
Windows to run properly have been replaced" message at startup. I have
inserted the windows CD everytime this has popped up, but it still keeps
asking after every reboot for it again. (Only when logging in as the
Administrator though, by design it seems).
How do I fix this? I have tried disabling SFC, but that didn't work. Here
are the first few warnings in the event viewer (there are 41 total):

The system file c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server
extensions\servsupp\fp4amsft.dll could not be copied into the DLL cache.
The specific error code is 0x000004c7 [The operation was canceled by the user.
]. This file is necessary to maintain system stability.

The system file c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server
extensions\servsupp\fp4anscp.dll could not be copied into the DLL cache.
The specific error code is 0x000004c7 [The operation was canceled by the user.
]. This file is necessary to maintain system stability.

The system file c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server
extensions\servsupp\fp4apws.dll could not be copied into the DLL cache.
The specific error code is 0x000004c7 [The operation was canceled by the user.
]. This file is necessary to maintain system stability.

And yes, I have ran several Virus scan's and also spyware scans.

Thanks for any help you can provide,
Chad

I would do a clean re-install of Windows Media Center Edtion 2005.
You have files that did not get installed, You must format the Windows
partition and start fresh.
