Windows Me NOT recognizing my Nextel i930 Jose 04-11-2006

 Hello, I have Windows Me and ActiveSync will not recognise my i930. (Yes,
installed, uninstalled. Tried ver.4.1) I did everything on this link,
http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/support/html/en/trouble.html
I tried pointing the device driver to the USB driver for install but it will
not show-up as an option. I tried inputing the name of the USB driver but
still nothing. Can you please get activesync to recognise my Nextel/Sprint
Motorola i930?! Or, is my operating system out dated? And I'm out of luck.

What haven't I tried? Is there a way to make this phone sync with activesync
on this operating system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Check the requirements for AS4 ...seem to remember it requires 2000/XP
and assume your device is WM5 which requires AS4

Nope, it's WM2003.
What is AS4?

Activesync 4.x

Should work as I have AS 3.7 running on Win98se but don't think 4.1 will.

Your install of 4.1 may cause problems reverting to 3.x so take a look
at Chris' faq's on this before proceeding at http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/

Then type the steps at http://BevHoward.com/ASync.htm#GetConn and be
sure to note the _exact_ messages in the get connected results box as
shown on that page to continue the resolution.

Finally, use the ASync install that shipped with the device even if
there is a newer version... that assures that you will get the usb
drivers which contain the usb id of your specific device.
