Please log in for more thread options its really a bad idea.
each desktop will scan the webdav server while this server has allready a
centralized and better indexing tool!
I really don't know why Microsoft has not integrated this feature in the
first release of this tool. Specially because all the microsoft products
turn around Sharepoint today! and also, because Office 2003 allready support
this!!!! (you can add your portal search result into the search pane of
Office 2003)
