Hi,

I am using Outlook 2003 with SP2 on Windows XP SP2.

I have installed Windows Desktop Search beta Version 02.06.5000.5373.

It is not indexing outlook emails at all. I have only one outlook profile
which is the default profile. No item in outlook shows as disabled.

I tried reinstalling Desktop Search multiple times but no luck with outlook
emails. I would appreciate any suggestions on what could possible be wrong
and what can i try to fix this issue. Thanks

Regards,
Zafar

Make sure Outlook is running in cached mode and that it's opened when you go
to index your store.

Another thing to check is in IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Programs and
ensure that Outlook is set as your email client.
If Outlook Express is selected, it will not index Outlook.

If those are set appropriately, check your indexing options, click Browse
and ensure that the outlook folders you want indexed are selected.

In another thread I found on the net, I read that you have to change
Outlook form "Internet Mail Only" to "Corporate..." mode.
I didn't test it juts because I do not remember anymore what was the
reason why, several years ago, I switched my Outlook FROM
"Corporate/workgroup" back to "Internet mail only"...:-(
