Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but this is the closest section I
could find for this question.
I'm trying to get Windows Desktop Search (for the Enterprise) to integrate
with my sharepoint services search.
I have a default install of WSS (Windows Sharepoint Services).
The Windows Desktop Search documentation says that it can "integrate" with
the WSS search.
I put the recommended string
"http://intranet/_layouts/1033/searchresults.aspx?k=$w" into the correct
location in the gpo.
When I do a search for a string from the WDS, and click the intranet button,
it correctly brings me to my intranet search screen, but it shows that no
items were found matching my query. If I then type the same string in the
search window on that screen, it shows my results correctly. Is there a way
to have it search on the term I orginally typed? Any idea how to fix it? I
would love to see the solution somewhere as I've been looking EVERYWHERE for
it. It does show the search string in the address bar correctly
(http://intranet/_layouts/1033/searchresults.aspx?k=test", but like I said,
it doesn't actually search for it.
Thanks for any help.
