I am running WinXP SP2 MCE 2005, Office 2007 Ultimate. Windows desktop
search hasn't been running. When i look at the properties for index it lists
nothing and the idex service is always in idle. When i do search, it comes up
and says search isn't running. When i attempt to install the 3.01 update if
fails and says to check c:\windows\KB917013.log but i can't figure out what
is wrong. I can't uninstall the search service because it doesn't appear in
Add/Remove. And i can't find anything anywhere to give me any sort of advice
on how go about fixing this problem.
How do i get search to run?
