Sounds like you need one of the programs from:
http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/support/downloads/index.jsp?internalId=downloads
?
Also, you may need to run the WModem program:
Start -> Programs -> Wireless Modem
This program has to be running before you can use the phone as a modem.
