Why no over-the-air Sync after a BlueTooth Sync (need reboot)? Michael Levin 01-11-2008

I am doing over-the-air wireless sync with an Exchange server (on my WM5
XV6700 phone/PDA from Verizon). Works fine. I've also set up a BlueTooth
sync with my desktop (Mac, running Missing Sync) because the Exchange server
won't sync tasks with my desktop. That part works fine too. What's weird is
that after I do a BT sync, the normal wireless sync fails, and gives me an
"error on the server, support code 0x85010014". If I reboot the phone, it
works again. It's annoying; what's up with this?

Thanks,

Mike

Did you disconnect Bluetooth at the device after you're done syncing? I'd
guess so, but that would definitely prevent server connections on devices
I've used, if not.

hmmm. I've shut off BT on the phone (just turned BT off after the sync
was done) and I'm not in range of the desktop now. And what's worse, I did
it today and now it won't sync even after the reboot!!!

On the menu of ActiveSync where you choose Connect with Bluetooth or
whatever it says, when you are already connected, it says Disconnect. What
I'm wondering is whether you hit that. Turning off Bluetooth completely may
prevent actual Bluetooth communications from occurring, but it may not give
ActiveSync a chance to reenable server sync (or that's what I'm thinking).

I don't see "Disconnect" now - only the option to Sync w/ BT, and it's
not working :-( same error - 0x85010014...
