I'm using the Audioox SMT5600. I'll plug in the USB - > Ba-Blunk <
ActiveSync connects.

After a few minutes though > Plink < ActiveSync just disconnects. Why is
this happening?

Thanks,

Firewall?
Up to date ActiveSync version?
Correct partnership? (delete and recreate)

Hi Lisa,

All of the above are fine. When I plug the device in it synchs beautifully.
It just spontaneously disconnects after a few minutes. Actually, this could
be an issue with either the device, or the ActiveSync software on the PC. I
don't remember this happening before I upgraded to ActiveSync version 4, but
I can't be sure.

I do note that the device doesn't seem to have different profile setting for
when it is plugged into USB, as opposed to when it is unplugged. Backlight
is set to timeout at 60 seconds, and display timeout is set to 2 minutes.
Neither of these should cause an ActiveSync disconnect though...

It's an ActiveSync 4.0 issue. I reverted to v3.8 and it no longer
disconnects.

Now why does AS 4.0 behave like this? I thinkI'll start a new post to find
out.

Must be a new 'feature' :-)

I didn't even know 4.0 existed yet.. last one I saw was a recent release of
3.8, been using 3.7.x.
I'm guessing 4.0 is initially supposed to work with CE 5 devices, .. so new,
must be still buggy for older devices.
