Why are we waiting so long for a small, flip, SmartPhone? Bob 08-09-2006

A couple of years ago, I signed up with ATT Wireless (horrible
experience). The phone I received at the time was INCREDIBLE!

It was the MPX-200.

What an amazing phone! I had so much freedom with this thing (even
while locked). It was a pleasure to use. Small, flip, AND Windows.
It had the capacity to use a 1GB SD card, it was GSM.

All I want is a small flip phone with Windows on it. I don't need a
damned keyboard to read my email and I am surely not going to type
emails on it. I can wait until I get to my computer to do that. I
want to be able to use any wav or mp3 for a ringer that I choose.

Why is it that no one is making this? I have been looking and looking
(here in the USA). What is the problem?

BTW, I had to give it back because after 5 months of waiting for ATT
Wireless to transfer my phone number (right after this became
possible), I gave up and stayed with Sprint.

Cingular has one coming out very soon - the Cingular 3125
(HTC Star Trek). If you google for HTC Start Trek, you can
find some reviews, specs, pics.
